Thomas’s Kensington: Our New Home at 1 St Albans Grove – One Year On
As we brought the school year to a close at 1 St Albans Grove (W8 5PN), it is remarkable to reflect on how quickly this state-of-the-art campus has felt like home. Opening our doors in November 2025 realised a long-held dream: uniting our entire Thomas’s Kensington community into one beautiful educational environment.
Since taking ownership of Atlantic House and Lytham House in 2023, the site underwent a total transformation into a modern, purpose-built facility. Designed to high environmental standards (achieving BREEAM ‘Very Good/Excellent’ ratings for sustainability, energy efficiency, and materials), our new campus features 23 age-appropriate classrooms, a theatre, specialist music, art, a gym, and a generous outdoor play area.
Over the past three terms, those spaces have truly come alive with the curiosity, friendship, and learning of our pupils. The feedback from the children has been overwhelmingly positive. Seeing them thrive in an environment built specifically for their needs has been the absolute highlight of our year.

As with any well-loved space, living and learning in it for almost a year has given us great insight into how to make it work even better. Over the summer, we are undertaking a series of subtle adjustments and refinements across the site to fine-tune our spaces and ensure everything is in prime shape for the start of the new academic year.
A transition of this scale, starting with our Michaelmas move and continuing right through this first year, is a testament to the incredible strength of our community. From our site and operations teams working tirelessly behind the scenes to our dedicated staff and supportive parents, thank you for your commitment, flexibility, and warmth throughout this transition. Most of all, thank you to our pupils, whose energy and excitement remind us every day why this new home matters so much.
